Apple claims that wearing face mask to unlock iPhone will reduce security, hence, it won't work.

Due to the epidemic, in order to reduce the risk of infection, wearing a mask has become our daily habit. I believe that during this period, iPhone users should be quite troubled by the issue of not being able to unlock Face ID while wearing a mask.

Even though many users hope that Apple can update the Face ID function so that users can unlock their phones without taking off their masks, Apple still says that this will reduce security, so it will not be implemented.

According to Tim Millet, Apple's vice president of platform architecture , Apple did have the idea of using Face ID with masks, but such an approach would reduce security, so it will not be implemented.

There have been rumors that the iPad Air Touch ID design released this year has the opportunity to be used on the iPhone 12 series , while the Face ID face unlock function will also be retained, allowing users to freely choose their favorite unlocking method.

If the news is true, I believe this is a good thing for most users. Apple will hold an Apple press conference at 1 a.m. (Malaysian time) on October 14th , when the iPhone 12 series will be released, let us wait and see
